STACC Network (Versions 6.0 or higher)
Before installing new software, the STACC application should be stopped.

STACC Standalone (Versions 5.3 or lower)
Before installing new software, the STACC application should be stopped and the following files in the STACC folder backed up to a safe location:
Default.xxx (or whatever your STACC document is called).
GeofenceSetCollection.dat
PhonebookSetCollection.dat
UserPlaces.dat
MasterPhonebook.vcf
Drivers.txt
